There is a new window on the KORI website promoting upcoming proposal opportunities. This new service offers KO First Nations with information on the latest opportunities to bring new dollars into their communities. KORI's Brian Walmark says the window will be expanded to include other features to assist and enable First Nations to draft successful proposals.
KO's Brian Walmark accepts almost $3000 worth of science equipment from Dr. Tony Bartley of the Faculty of Education at Lakehead University. The equipment will be used by KiHS to improve science education across the network. To see photos, click here.
KORI is facilitating an on-line workshop to promote discussion on creating a culturally appropriate curriculum with First Nations Schools on November 12 at 2:30 Eastern 1:30 Central Time.
KORI is partnering with Dr. Steve Crawford of the University of Guelph and other academics in Canada and New Zealand in an exciting new research initiative. Indigenous Traditional Knowledge Wikiis is the working title of the project. The dialogue between the researchers is entirely on-line using IP video conferencing and Wikiis, a web-based discussion forum.
