KORI

Community members met with members of the MNDM team to share their
priorities for the Northern Development Council's (NDC) recommendations
to the Minister. The multi-point video conference was held on April 19,
2007.

Community members shared their top five priorities, they include:

• Support training and education programs to provide youth with the opportunity to join the workforce in their community.
• Support the development, renewal and maintenance of community infrastructure, including housing. 
• Help
  entrepreneurs pursue economic development activities including
  assistance for young entrepreneurs to develop businesses in their
  communities.
• Work with public and private organizations to further develop  transportation systems including winter and all-season roads.

Community
members also shared specific needs and recommendations on how the MNDM
could meet the priorities identified in their communities.

MNDM
Team members were pleased with the opportunity to meet with communities
via video conference and hope to conduct future dialogues in this
manner. Thank you to all participants for sharing.
