(09 01 07) Happy New Year

Everything is in full-gear at KORI as we are continuing on with several research projects internal and external to KO. We are facilitating a series of six introductory Ojibway language courses begining Jan 13, 2009. Mark Kakegamic is the successful candidate for the NOHFC Intern position and will be assisting communities with proposals, training workshops and report writing. Other projects include a KIHS study with Lakehead University, Polar Bear Profile with Fort Severn First Nation, Mental Health Video editing, weekly EcDev Workshops, Telemedicine Expansion Assessment, etc.

We welcome our communities to visit us at Thunder Bay office (216 S. Algoma St. - corner of cornwall & algoma - 766-8442). We have a public computer and video conferencing available and are pleased to see students, youth and others stopping by. We recently had a visit from two students from North Spirit Lake and Iqaluit!
