Northwest LHIN announces funding opportunity for community-based health organizations
(08 05 12) The Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) held a briefing this morning in Thunder Bay on two new one-time funding opportunities available for community-based organizations in Northwestern Ontario… The LHIN will be accepting proposals that focus on ways to provide innovative alternatives that promote aging at home and collecting concept papers with respect to integrating and coordinating care “in the right setting.” The LHIN is making some last minute revisions to the call for proposals following a focus group last week which reviewed the criteria… Both “call for proposals” will be posted on the Northwest LHIN by the end of the week… KORI’s Brian Walmark participated in the face-to-face briefing in Thunder Bay and Nancy Muller of KOTM participated via video conference at the Red Lake Hospital… For more information, click here…
